Stuart Parkyn is one of the few Australian producers to be nominated for an Academy Award and have a film win awards at the Cannes, Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals. In 2007 "The Saviour" was nominated for Live Action Short Film at the 79th Academy Awards, while in 2008 "Jerrycan" won the Jury Prize at the 61st Cannes Film Festival and won an Honourable Mention at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and a Special Mention at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival. The eight short films he has produced have screened at over 150 film festivals, winning more than 40 awards including an Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for "Jerrycan". In 2010 Stuart completed “Voyeurnet”, his first short as director.

Stuart has worked as a producer, production manager and production coordinator for television series, commercials and documentaries for companies including Southern Star Productions, Matchbox Pictures and Chocolate Studios. He has completed over 300 feature film script reports for Roadshow Films, Transmission Films, Dendy Films and Shanahan Management. Stuart has recently returned from a six month Screen Australia Talent Escalator Development internship with Killer Films in New York.

Stuart is looking to produce commercially minded creative projects in most genres. He is committed to telling stories that have a clear understanding of their audience, firm grasp of structure and character and produced within responsible budget levels.
